Is this National cup worth the expense? Looks like none of the good team from Norcal participated before.

Some good teams-a long way to travel for sure but some of the best teams do not go.

I got my Cups mixed up, I confused the Champions League Cup which seams awfully expensive with the National Cup which I like.  Perhaps this idiotic post now makes sense.

"It is irrellevent.  Even if the best teams went it would still be worthless.  Too much money..for the East Coast Cup.  I do like that fact that they are trying to something different."

"Rage and Mustang never send any girls teams..."

So this means no other team should find value in a tournament these clubs aren't playing in?  There are stronger  teams in all age groups in So California and around the nation than the ego inflated Mustang and Rage.  Get over yourselves.

Wow
You dont even know if the poster was from rage or mustang.
As an other aside there are good teams going ,CV Mercury is going , last year Boca jr went and one the National title which served them well in getting recognition but it was a great expierence for the girls. This is an alternate track. With many of the Mustang and rage girls teams going to regionals as well as other top Ncal teams its just deemed too much.

Here's something to consider-when my childs team went and won the US National Cup title beating some good teams to do so they were not even allowed into Surf! So you can be runner up in the Idaho State Cup and get into Surf but a National US Club championship carries less weight!

Certainly not the answer to everyones needs or wants.  That is why there are so many tournaments to choose from.  Is it a National Title, no.  Can it be fun to participate and play some great competetion, yes.  Examples of some clubs sending teams to Las Vegas, SURF, Nomads, Slammers, Soreno SC from AZ, Deanza, Santa Rosa United, Boca Jr's, Cavitt Acadamy etc.  Mustang does have teams going to the Boise Tournamnet.  If it sounds like fun then go, if not, stay home and enjoy a weekend off.  Our team is looking forward to Boise for the soccer, fellowship and a great 4th of July party.  If we had won State Cup instead of only getting to the round of 8, we would go to Regionals, but we didn't so we'll go have fun elsewhere.  I don't think anyone on our team thinks if we go all the way, we will be the best team in the country, nor should they.  I don't really think any of the previous posters believe it either, it just makes for a good debate I guess.  By the way, if Surf doesn't let us in, we'll go to Nomads and play.
