Well, it looks like NORCAL Girls League ended-up with very few teams: only 19 Premier teams within the GU15 - GU16 - GU17 range - GU16 only has 5!

and were surprised? Once gssl and ccsl were going to be on their own I think it was clear that nor cal would struggle on the girls side.

Is there any news at all in CCSL rankings? I know D6 was supposed to have a bronze tournament, but then decided not to. When do you think the Districts will have a preliminary rank posted, like Norcal has done?

Seeding tournaments took place last weekend. Seedings are sent to the teams and don't get posted until after the seeding touranments shake things out (moving teams up or down). Gold/Silver in our age bracket didn't have seeding tournament however many of the teams faced each other in local tournament play (e.g. Placer United tournament).
Good competition... In our area Gold CCSL u11g contains Everton2000, Ajax's top team (elite), Eureka Wildcats (select team last year but very good) and other very good teams. Silver CCSL u11g contains another Ajax team, El Dorado United team and 2-3 very strong Select teams. Top bronze are a mix of D1 and select teams that are on par with mid Gold to top Silver teams and so on (i.e. basically on par with the PU black, SJ white etc.).
Roughly CCSL Gold = Plantinum Norcal, CCSL Silver >= Gold Norcal and CCSL top Bronze = Gold to Silver Norcal teams. Next level down in Bronze teams are about on par with the mid to weaker Silver teams.

In D2 there is a close parallel with the teams previous level in Abronzino/Redwood/Delgado. Of course, there is some wobble at the margins, but overall the State premier teams are the 6 or so best teams; Bay Gold is roughly the rest of the Abronzino division 1 with a few going to Bay Silver Elite. The rest of Bay Silver Elite are the top teams in Abronzino Division 2; and Coast Silver is the remaining Abronzino teams with maybe a top Redwood/Delgado team included. Coast Bronze and Coast Copper roughly split the Class III teams between them.
I expect the rankings will be sent out soon - no doubt there is some adjustment for team comments; getting the right numbers for the top levels, splitting larger brackets and so forth.

I think/hope in d2 the seedings should be done by this weekend. They asked for everyone input early this week but with them who really knows. I think in some age groups the state premier will be top notch and in others some of those best teams are in nor cal or gssl
