Santa Rosa took it 3-1. Not sure about some of thosr Santa Rosa idiot parents. Not all, just some. I guess it comes with the territory.
From what I hear, it was a two way street. Nonetheless, no need to take away from what was another great battle between these teams. MFC players have a will to compete like few other teams. Hopefully things work out that the rivalry can continue for the coming years.
More importantly… how about some props for MVLA surviving two PK shootouts to get to the finals!?!
I hope someone bought that GK a Starbucks!
Good luck......it's painful for us to see MVLA in the final as we won 2 of 3 this year and thought this was our year to get there.....OUCH. It just shows you how hard it is to make it to the end. Props to SRU for getting there again.
Congrats to MVLA on their Cinderella State Cup run! Now, can they survive SRU?
Everyone is in awe of the keeper, no doubt. For the record, Monsoon Blue did beat San Juan at Mustang just a month ago, so we knew Monsoon Blue could do it.
SRU beat MB 1-0 in the finals at Placer last October. The goal was a well-executed corner kick, and rest of the game was very competitive--could have gone either way, but they pulled it out when they had the opportunity.
This one should be an epic game. Hoping for good weather and best of luck to both sides.

Agreed. Much props to MVLA. They are battling like crazy. Good luck to Santa Rosa and MVLA next weekend.

Assuming this statement from Herb is directed at the U13 age group since SRU was the team with a leg break. Sad.
Overall, with very few exceptions, sportsmanship during the 2012 NorCal State Cup(s) has been excellent.
However, please be sure your parents are thoughtful and under control. They should be told not to make comments directed at the other team - either players or parents.
As an example, a NorCal Official at Woodland during the Semi-finals heard a loud comment concerning "fake injuries". Only after the game did he learn that the team at which that comment was directed had - during the Quarter-final game - a player leave the field with a broken leg.

The last few weekends have provided great soccer at the U13 level. The final 8 has been spectacular and filled with thrills, spills, elation, heartache, etc. All of us who represent Northern California should be proud of the talent going forward. Good luck to all no matter where you end up next season. I definitely will continue to watch this talented age group continue to grow.

MVLA definitely has karma.on their side. But is that enough a stronnng Santa Rosa side? Newcastle and El Dorado, I mean San Juan played in this game last year. It definitely will be fun. Mustang and Davis both have a lot to prove. Placer will be tough for DeAnza if they are healthy.
