The U11 Rage has a strong team but has a coach that puts development over winning. Second team is decent with a few good players so if the club elects to draw from the second teammthey should be fine next year. However I suspect Rage will add players from the large non resident pool of players that always seem to show up at U 12.
Overall,
U13 and below, the Rage is very strong. U17 is also very strong. U14, U16 are weak. U15 is average at best. U18 is average.

11 v 11 is the game changer.... if you have a good passing style and players with good vision , man is it fun to watch.Whats really makes me enjoy watchin a team is when the coach doesnt say much.The team just plays.

Well, I understand both USA Stars and Ajax Elite have been playing 11v11 for a while now. I haven't heard of any other teams? The only 11v11 tournament that seems to include a number of Norcal teams is Surf Cup. Ajax went 2-0-2 (2-0-1 in group play), USA Stars went 1-0-2 and Mustang Legends went 1-1-1. Not sure USA Stars is all that deep without their Ajax striker in 11v11.
From the talk in this forum, it seems that pulling in outside talent is seen as the key for 11v11? I spoke to a Mustang parent in Placer recently, and he said they don't have any non-resident players on their first team. I wonder if more will appear next year for the first team. I watched half of the Santa Rosa EQ/Mustang game, and the Mustang team was not big, but they passed well and were quick. Santa Rosa was also techincally sound.

Mustang has restrictive borders that only allows so many non resident kids on their first teams. At U 14 however their are no such restrictions. Not sure if is is true for clubs Nor Cal wide. I know at Rage it's open borders from u9. However at the youngers they try to keep their top teams full of Pleasanton residents. At u12 this changes. I have heard that as the roster expands to 16-18, premier teams grab talent from the outside.

I think the farthest a child at our age group comes is an hour away and that is only 1 player.The rest are within 20 min.Mustang Legends have had a small team the last couple of years but with that said the play big with speed and passing.I think the 99 age group had a very good talent pool at u11 as well. Juventus plays U 11 and they have a big roster of players .I dont think the play much 8v8

Per capita income? With money comes private trainers, better facilities, type A parents and kids. Maybe better coaching or more of it.
