At Boca, the U11-14 girls are going to be coached by Jeremy Field, assisted by two girls who played for Sac State, Megan Burg and Jordan Carlberg.

One coach is tackling four teams? That's a lot of teams even with a few helpers.

There are two U11 teams already, so it's actually at least 5 teams.

I think that is simply too much to ask of one person. Even if he can pull it off there is no way he can devote the amount of time attention I'm sure he wants to to each team. Is Boca short coaches or does this person need to take on that many teams to make ends meet?

I'm fairly certain that the two girls will have their own teams (likely the youngers). Jeremy probably will take the U-13 and U-14 team (although Coach Cavitt usually coaches the 99/00 team).

The way I understand it, there will likely be more than one team practicing together a lot of the time.  I think the U11 teams will practice as one large group pretty much at all times.  There may be combined-age practices at least part of the time for other teams?

Not sure why, but Melissa Cavitt isn't listed on the 2013/2014 coaching assignments they posted recently (it's on their website). She usually works with some of these girls' teams, right?

Yeah, mainly the 99/00 team. There will likely be some additional staff members that aren't yet put on the website.

You are correct that the U11's will likely practice together. Of course they'll be separated on gamedays so that's where the two new girls come in. Something you may see is one girl take a U11 team for a game, the other girl for the other U11 team, Jeremy with two teams that have a home game, and then Melissa taking the last team for their away game (or vice versa). Not sure how other clubs operate in that regard but that's pretty much how it'll go here.

The BOCA U11-U14 girls "Subgroup" consists of 4 teams, 1 at each age level.   Jeremy is the Sub Group leader and is responsible for the weekly training.  He is joined by two new additions, no former coaching experience, but played at Sac State where they just graduated from.  So there will be 3 trainers responsible for the training and game coaching of these 4 teams.

Any 2nd, 3rd, etc  team of the same age group is a "Silver" program team.  The Silver program is its own program, with its own Subgroup leader and coaching staff.

While on paper this may seem like a lot of teams for 1-3 trainers, the club is pretty good at sharing game coaching duties with their other coaches when needed.    Mellissa Cavitt is taking the season off.

This year, with almost 50 girls trying out for U11, they formed two "gold" teams and one silver team.
