How popular is Boofest 2012? Seems like a lot of teams have applied and I noticed some are not accepted yet even though they applied a long time ago. Anyone know how this works?

It depends on the weather. Last year it was a great tournament. It was sunny and not cold. The year before I believe a lot of the games went straight to pks because of so much rain. competition its good and the kids have fun building their Halloween displays. Give it a try and hope that it doesn't rain.

Awesome time if it is not raining. My kids loved the parade and festivities afterwards. Oh yeah, there was some good soccer too. Except the games were short. It is a tough tournament to get in to however. Good luck.

Team won't be accepted until they have paid. That's usually the hold up. Most Norcal Premier league teams seem to get in without much problem. CYSA teams not as easy. At least that's what its been last 3 years.
Fields OK, referees better than average. Fun atmosphere. Totally dependent on weather!

My son's team played in Boofest last year and will be there again this year. The kids had a great time and surely will again this year. They play in "costumes", have display and costume contests, parades, trick or treating....oh yeah, and soccer. My son can not wait for this weekend!

One thing we took away from Boofest is that the home club stacks the other brackets and gives themselves an easier route to a 4th game.
Example in U9 boys: 4 teams in the top 15 played in each other in one bracket. The other bracket included 1 top 24 team (Sac) and 3 teams that are gold level.

Same thing for top U11 girls bracket. Apparently Sac U has reputation for same. Did Sac U win their 4th game?
