I know that CYSA has State, Regional, and then National champions... is there an equivalent event in US Club? I looked and can't find anything really even close but thought I would ask around and see if anyone else knew of anything.

At the state level, here in Northern California, NorCal's State Cup can be as good (or better) than CYSA-N's State Cup.  US Club's regional tournaments do not come close individually or collectively to USYSA's regional tournaments, though, and US Club's national event is light-years distant from USYSA's national event.  The reason for the regional & national distinctions is simple:  US Club is not sponsoring an alternative to the USYSA state associations in most parts of the country.

Thanks Hooked002,

That is what I thought but is there upcoming regional and national tournaments that you think will eventually provide those options...if so then how long before it happens..ie. 2 years or 4 years. The reason I ask is because if a an under 10 team competes now US club then what is their prospects at US club in 4 years for example?? or do they not intend on sponsoring at that level?

I should have said sanction, not sponsor.  US Club will sanction pretty much anything from local playing leagues to state-wide playing leagues to regional playing leagues to state cups to regional cups and to national cups.  The issue is how many people want them.  For example, this past year, US Club sanctioned 12 State Cups.  That's it.  In other words, the folks in 43 USYSA state associations were perfectly happy (or at least happy enough) without a US Club State Cup.  So, time is not the issue for determining whether US Club will have regional and national events as good (or better) than USYSA.  The issue is whether most folks in the country will become sufficiently unhappy with their state associations to embrace an alternative sanctioned by US Club Soccer.

Well said Hooked. The us club regionals will have some strong teams but then some very weak. Plus who really wants to go to Modesto in June?!? Nor Cal Cup for the youngers is probably stronger(u-12 and under) but u14 and older cysa state is still the strongest by a distance.
