When I played as a kid, leagues were all there were. I never had the opportunity to play comp. There used to be so much pride in winning our league but it seems pretty insignificant in the landscape. That's why I was asking. Waking up and playing soccer every weekend is def a benefit and exciting as I remember. Lunita you reminded me of that. Not sure about a league for the stars.

the benefit to playing in a local league goes beyond cost. it gives the club exposure to new talent and new members. the stars should at least consider state cup. but, it would be great to see them in league.
