You raise some good points 8 is great. The level of competition will drop considerably and now the STATE 1-8 championship will lose it luster, it's prestige, it's shine! Let's look at it.... 5 out of the tope 8 teams in this years quarter finals will be ECNAL. SRU, DeAnza, San Juan, MVLA and Mustang will probably be out of many of those classic tournaments like Mustang in August, Placer in October and Davis Tourneys. Some players will be moving to ECNL teams from non-ECNL teams. I also agree that I wouldn't mind looking into some of these ECNL teams as an option for my daughter. If my daughter has the skill to play on one of these teams why wouldn't I want her to play with a team that has a skill level that is high so her skills can grow. I would rather pay a bit more to have my daugther get better than to pay for her to be on a team that is not going to challenger her skill level. "I'm just sayin"
