What does that mean for CY ODP?
Does anyone know the plan for the 98 pdp state pool? Just practice once a month and that's it? Will they have playdates or put together a team to go play in a tourney?

While the 55 State Associations in USYSA did not have the only ODPs sanctioned by the US Olympic Committee through USSF (e.g., USL's Super Y League has an ODP program), this means that there will be more programs officially sanctioned as ODPs. This may be particularly helpful for players that need an exemption from CIF to participate in these events during their HS season because CIF generally only defers to official ODP events. For example, ECNL wanted to conduct a regional PDP in SoCal for SoCal ECNL players (and wanted to play 11v11 games) and wanted to do it right in the middle of the HS season. That event had to be rescheduled at the last minute. Now, such an event should be okay. It will be interesting to see what CIF does, though, if there are a multitude of requests made to recognize such events during HS season.

Quoted from: iam737, February 23rd, 2012 20:54 GMTNorCal PDP and US Club ID2 are now officially recognized as Olympic Development Programs (ODP).
Does anyone have a source to confirm this? I'm trying to determine if next month's ID2 camp in Arizona is a CIF sanctioned 'ODP' event. Any help is appreciated.
