I've seen clips of them and their star player, ST.  The beat up the Rage 4-0 in their last mtg. They are good.  De Anza should slaughter Rage this time...maybe 7-0.  It will take the pooling of talent to beat them now.

@20's -  almost at insufficient funds! You will be there too soon!

I think ST is very talented, but if you've watched them you'd know there is no star, they are a moving star of 11 players at once on the field. I think that is how the coach likes it, not dependent on any one player to be there..

I think many teams in ECNL(other than Force) are shopping for Discovery Players to make a difference for their squads.. How do you feel about that as parents of kids on one of those squads?

I know this to be true because a few players on our teams are being courted for this purpose by more than one team!

11 rocks.  been watching the u13/u14/u15 girls age groups for several years because of my daughters and can't think of a single player that will make a total difference for any team, even those playing younger or up.  other than a starting player from force, no can make a complete change, help, but not team changing.

I'm not Ecnl, but how would I feel as a parent?  Depends on everything, position, parents, attitude of player...  Would certainly make my girls want to work harder.

Not sure if all the parents will agree with that statement.  I don't think all the U13's have gone through puberty. I'm sure there are some good U14's and 15's out there that can make a difference.

The addition of one player can totally change the. completion of a team regardless of age group.

I'd rather have a player that can score or make plays.

Yes that would be fun to watch but a shut down goalie can single get you a tie if they block every shot.

Strong attack = chance to win
Strong defense = won't lose

Strong defense is always the difference maker when the best teams meet up and in the biggest games.

Saying that, developing a strong attack is (usually) harder to accomplish than developing a stingy diffence. And finding/developing an outstanding attacking personality is (usually) harder to do than finding/developing an outstanding defender.
