Break down of D1, D2, D3 and JC? I noticed several of the clubs are now posting 'commitments' to JC colleges as well.

And your point is what?
You'd think a coach like yourself would have a little more appreciation for all levels of play.

I think the point is certain clubs develop or attract kids that want to play soccer at the next level. Would be interesting to know how many of these kids started at their respective clubs.
I looked at the Mustang list and all are D1 to big name programs.
Rage breakdown is:
3 UC San Diego ( D2 but I think they typically make the NCAA finals D2)
1 UC Irvine
1 CAL
1 Princeton
2 Fresno State
1 Marquette
1 Southeast Louiseanna (D1 Southland Conference)
1 Oregon

Are these commitments for both boys and girls? It would be interesting to see that breakdown. Is there a listing somewhere aside from the individual club websites?

The point being that signing for a D1 college is quite different than signing for a JC. Heck I'm not even sure you 'sign' for a JC? As for appreciation of our local JC programs I love them. A third of our older Select team went to go play for three of the JCs in our area (another received a partial D2 scholarship). The rest of our players elected to focus on academics and went to D1 schools (Berkeley, UCLA, UOP, Pepperdine, Sac, Chico, Long Beach, Santa Barbara and one was accepted to Harvard but couldn't accept due to $$$), most on a slew of academic, not athletic scholarships (one full ride academic to Long Beach, 2 40k academic scholarships UOP/Pepperdine, several more smaller 10k scholarships). Needless to say I'm very, very proud of those girls!

Try looking at it through the perspective of the players. It’s an announcement to recognize the accomplishments of these players and playing collegiate sports – at any level – is a pretty cool thing.
Think about how unfair it would be to only acknowledge players that went to top D1 schools on full rides.
