Seems like nothing is being said concerning tryout dates this year? Any news from any of the clubs as to when they are holding their tryouts? It seems like the Norcal State Cup is going longer than last year so a late Jan/early February tryout date window would never work. Any news?

The 2nd week in February is the Norcal State Cup u11-u13 semis and QFs and the finals are the third week in February aren't they? Is your club holding tryouts the fourth week in February to avoid potential conflicts? If not what is your club doing about teams competing in the State Cup during your tryout dates?

These dates make more sense and work with the Norcal State cup dates. Thanks! What, if any, penalties are there for clubs that jump the gun and hold tryouts before these dates?

We won't start training right away though as our team normally takes a two month break in between seasons. We will go through tryouts at the designated date but not resume to formal training until April. Some players still keep playing (e.g. indoor) but we have no formal practices. We believe time off is important for everyone. Go do something else for a few months, come back fresh and excited to train and play again (players, parents and coaches alike).
